VERI*FACTU

Invoicing software is changing in Spain

The Regulation on invoicing computer systems (Real Decreto 1007/2023, developed by Orden HAC/1177/2024) requires invoicing software to guarantee the integrity, traceability and inalterability of invoice records. VERI*FACTU is the mode in which those records are sent to the Agencia Tributaria.

Companies (Impuesto sobre Sociedades): systems adapted before 1 January 2027.
Autónomos (IRPF) and other obliged parties: before 1 July 2027.

These dates come from Real Decreto-ley 15/2025. On 5 October 2026 the Ministry of Finance announced it plans to postpone the pending obligations to October 2028; as of 19 October 2026 that change has not yet been published in the BOE.
